HEALTH – APSACS (HIV/AIDS Prevention Program)
This health-focused initiative, funded by APSACS, is designed to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS among high-risk populations in rural areas, including male, female, and transgender sex workers. With a direct outreach to 1,650 individuals, the program also engaged stakeholders like brothel owners, shopkeepers, and transport workers to create a supportive environment. Educational campaigns, access to testing and treatment, and nutritional support were core components. The program led to a reduction in new infections, HIV awareness among over 4,000 people, and reduced stigma and discrimination in 15 villages. Furthermore, 3,000 people accessed health services, marking a significant step in community health empowerment.
